Toulouse Lautrec
(Albi, 1864 - Chateau Malromé (Gironde) 1901). Today we know Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec as the archetypical bohemian artist of the bell Epoque, the "beautifel era" in Paris in the last decade of the 19th century. He helped usher in the new century, and died when the job was done. It was the nightlife of Montmartre in Paris which inspired the works of this incredible artist. Toulouse-Lautrec not only painted the world of brothels, but was a frequent guest himself.
